The company appears to do well for itself lately. I am just questioning as to how long their luck will last. I am thinking that Nordstrom will face the same fate as other retailers sooner or later.

The sad news is the stores will officially shut their doors on Friday, April 5.

That's what's the rumor - it kind of makes sense with the rents going through the roof nobody can afford so much space in West LA. We'll see how things play out, I am not sure if there was anyone who got insider info yet.

More online purchases, customer preference change. They like smaller stores now, Nordstrom will need to figure something new. They are laying off people, Nordstrom laid off IT people.

the only store closed in 2016 was Horton . Nordstrom had other full line in San Diego. meanwhile macys and saks closed stores. Neiman Marcus should be doing closing of stores in 2017 . they are 4.9 bilion in debt on 4. 8 billion in sales. — read more

Is this store in Montclair closing? That's the rumor? If yes, are they keeping people.

I know they were cutting staff and reducing hours - some time ago work for Nordstrom's was prestigious and you would be able to work there all your life - not any more - times are changing and more and more people are shopping online

Good store, good people, I hope they keep them and they do not end up being laid off...
