150K sq ft location to close, employees to be laid off. They are betting on the South Coast Plaza big time, and Nordstrom's not the only department store with this approach. I am sorry for all folks that will lose their jobs but it is what it is - it's our modern day capitalism, a bit of creative destruction, the weaker players go away so the strong ones can be even more successful. It's a pity for Santa Ana as this is just another store that closed - Chico's also closed recently - so Nordstrom is not the only one that's closing stores nowadays. See more here:
