In a regrettable turn of events, Office Depot in St. Louis is closing on May 15th. This is standard procedure for the retailer but one can't help to think that the closing of the 4061 Lindell Blvd. location could have been avoided.

Apparently OfficeMax in Lakewood will be closing for good. It didn't perform that well money-wise and honestly I kinda had a hunch about that. The 318 E Fairmount Ave store will be closed on May 16th and they have a closing sale right now.

All is going as according to plan for Office Depot and their closings that were announced last year. The store on Folsom Blvd in Sacramento is going to close this May and, frankly, I just couldn't care less. Nothing special about this store.

Will this store be shuttering?

I'm just wondering if layoffs are going to happen in the near future at Office Depot. It would be good to know beforehand and prepare for the worst. There is nothing wrong in asking, even if I end up looking a touch paranoid.

I HeAR THEY WILL BE CLOSING - MAYBE TRUE AND MAYBE NOT BUT I THINK YES

It's hard for OD employees, as the company treats them not good and many stores close - they do not give you enough hours to work but they require you to show up on a short notice. They will close all stores, it feels that way.

Nothing more to add, the battle was lost for Office Depot

They are planing to close even more in the next 3 years. They are trying to cut costs by $250. Office Depot have been hit by competition from Amazon.
