A large Shopko in Boise-Meridian Idaho has closed and an Albertson's grocery has secured the building for a new store in that location.

News has been very slow outside insider comments. Tough times ahead for this and other retailers as they face companies like Amazon. Not a lot to cheer about loosing top leadership in wake of poor performance.

I drove by the Sugarhouse Shopko today and there were signs everywhere saying Store Closing 30% off, so yup, they are closing down.

When is this store closing? Shopko is closing many stores, how about Council Bluffs? 2017 or earlier?

I am not sure if they are reading this, but they should. This Meridian store was one of the best Shopko stores - it's really weird that they are doing this - nobody knows what the plan is but they are closing it for sure. Employees are confused

That's what I heard - not sure if this 100% accurate but that is the rumor as of right now. This may be a 2017 thing though.
