YMCA not being open just doesn't feel right. YMCA is needed. Badly. In areas like these.

The YMCA fitness center is closing this week on 333 E. Chestnut St. in Mifflinburg.

Why is this happening? Why do such places end up closing but all those useless coffee shops and bars that give nothing back to the community end up being open for years. This is just unfair. Unacceptable.

If anyone could clarify whether the store is closing, that would be great. This place is great for us, so please don't ever shut it down... but is there a chance that it could close? No one wants it to shut down.

It was just not an option to keep it open. Financially I mean. Like, unless you want to lose money there's a limit on how much longer you can keep facilities like the Livonia and the St. Clair Shores ones open if they aren't profitable.

Yet another business is impacted by Covid 19!!! When will this menace end? YMCA is going to close two branches because of this pandemic. The North Boroughs branch in Bellevue and the branch at the U.S. Steel Tower will soon be gone.

That YMCA was around before I was born. That YMCA is older than me. And now, it's closing. What a strange thought. If you didn't know the South Bend-Mishawaka YMCA branch closing... while sad, it's also not too surprising.

Next month on December 1st the the Athenian branch of the YMCA is gonna close down permanently because of they couldn't support it financially anymore and closing it seemed a more reliable way to reduce their expenses.

I should have see this happening a mile away but I didn't. This caught me by surprise actually. YMCA of Columbia just announced that the Lexington branch in Red Bank off of Old Orangeburg Road will be closing for good on December 20th this year.

Hopefully someone will find this valuable, so just a heads up: YMCA will be closing the two remaining fitness centers in Sarasota, Florida in September. The location at South Euclid Avenue and Potter Park Drive will be gone this fall.

I am a member of this exact YMCA, and I pay month to month, and NO one told me that they were closing, Friday with I paid for the month of March. NOR is there ANY notices of an such flagrant asinine assumptions.

But when they do close a YMCA location it's a big loss for the community. I love mine. My kids go there.
