I've seen only a few close. Did they close stores quietly so that people don't notice perhaps?

Some would say good riddance but not me.

Except for the closing during Easter to give their workers some time-off, which was very generous of Schnucks and I'm glad more chains are doing this, I don't see Schnucks closing their stores during this pandemic, not even in a temporary fashion.

So because of a buyout the Janesville Schnucks will close their in-store pharmacy and all ownership of their pharmacies will be transferred to CVS Pharmacy and I frankly don't like it. I do not look forward to this change at all.

Sad. I have just found out that Schnucks in Edwardsville will be closing next month. The reason for this store cut is supposedly that it didn't perform that well and it was more profitable for them to close it rather to keep it open.

Schnucks in East Alton's Wilshire Village in Illinois will close on August 4 this summer. The store suffered from poor sales and the company didn't think that keeping it open would be a viable option. Shame that it had to come to this. Nothing we can... — read more 

They are adding more stores. Schnucks is good and improving with every year. For now, all is good for Schnucks

That's for now, we'll see how Schnucks does in future as things become more competitive
