The outcry was successful after all - the Safeway in Fillmore District will close next year, not this March after all!

To be frank, I was never that particularly fond of this store but, admittedly, I did make some pretty sweet deals here. The Mesa store at 2740 East University Dr is no longer open and I suppose that they have closed a few months ago.

When I was at my cousin's wedding in Hawaii a few months back I went to this Safeway in Hilo and let me just say - no wonder it's no longer open. The grocery store was so lackluster that I avoided it like a plague ever after.

God I would hate if Safeway was rebranded in any shape or form. Apparently that is happening in Canada and I hope it doesn't happen here. I like Safeway just the way it is. There's no chance that something like that will happen in the US too, yeah?

Safeway continues their covert closings of stores with another one in northeast Portland. It looks like instead of announcing a number of stores closing at the same time, Safeway is doing it one by one over the entire year. Why remains a mystery.

Pharmacy last day is 7/26/2018. Store closing 8/19/2019.

Safeway store in Jantzen Beach will be closing its doors for good on June 1. The company says the store was under performing, whether that's true is anybody's guess. Good luck to all the employees in finding new jobs.

This store is closed. Closed Last year. Other Safeway stores are closing as well.

I know as my GF worked there - they closed her store Safeway is brutal, if you do not make money they will close your store, there is no recovery there
