The closing wasn't related to the Covid 19 pandemic supposedly. The company's words, not mine. Dunno if it's true or not but either way REI is gone from Yonkers' Ridge Hill mall as it closed on February 12th.

That's what I heard, I moved out a while ago, so I cannot confirm 100% that REI is closing it, but that's the rumor. Good luck to all employees.

There might be two or three REI stores that will close but they will open ven more - so no issues there - it's a great company that focuses on customers and employees and cares about our nature - they need to survive

They are so awesome, I think REI is one of the (if not the best) most successful retailers in the world. Just look at the margins.
