It closed back in May for renevation. I can confidently say that this store won't close in the coming years.

This is genuinely so sad especially because the new store at the corner of Thomaston and Tucker roads won't be their new location, so the Publix store on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard will cease to exist to completely soon. Sad day for Macon.

Publix was open here for 20 years. Even though this is upsetting for sentimental reasons, most importantly this closing in the Gateway Town Center means a food desert has been created for now in Brentwood, Jacksonville FL.

I took advantage of the sale that happened there before they closed at the Terrace Ridge Plaza two days ago. I am pretty sad that the Publix is gone (for now) but I also can't lie, I did struck some pretty sweet deals at the closing sale.

This is a good business. Also, that's confirmed by Publix.

But they do close a store from time to time, nothing bad in that. They will continue to do so but they do not behave like other mega chains that close dozen of stores all the time.

Is this true - they are looking at overlaps and want to close stores that overlap - this is bad

This one may be closing - that's what I heard - I do not shop in Publix any more but 2017 may be the date
