All stores are closing. I'll admit I did not expect to hear that as an announcement today. Some stores, fine. But the entire thing?
Any chance that the Mount Vernon store will close due to Menards opening?
Just curious if anyone had heard anything because I know they've made serious cuts for their employees hours.
I've never found that Ace had anything useful. Ace staff have always lied to me, assuming that because I'm female I don't know better. As soon as I find out the truth I go marching back there with my printed evidence in hand and really, really angry...

Or a store like Hardwick's in Seattle–a real gem.
I guess no one even cares that they closed.
What we need is a real hardware store like McLendons. A place that always has just what you need and employees that can tell you how to do something. A second choice would be an Ace hardware store. What we don't want is another big box store.

dearest anonymous 36 your post is why I quit shopping at Lowes 2 years ago the attitude and poor service started long before they announced the closing.
Just announced today they will be closing in July. They are not renewing their lease.
Today they announced to the employees that the store will be closing on July 28th. A handful of employees were laid off today. The rest were assured employment at other Lowe's at same position and pay. Everyone was offered a severance package if...

I work for Lowes in Bellevue as well. All managers have secured their jobs at other locations and haven't told the employees squat. Reprehensible as they do not care about the employees whatsoever and the service and morale have hit tock bottom and...

I heard Lowe's will be closed by the end of May. Between light rail and BMW, we don't stand a chance. But Lowe's hasn't told us anything. Employees are bailing left and right, including managers.
Lowes Update on Store Closing list
Lowes had layoffs recently, not sure about closures.
Lowes already closed bunch of stores several years ago
Now they're just cutting jobs trying to keep this business afloat.
Still expanding, not close stores (Lowe's 2016 and 2017)
But they are consolidating positions, some positions are being eliminated and Lowe's employees are not happy at all. All this is happening while the execs are collecting enormous bonus check. They do not close stores though
This store will never close.
Please don't close this store!
Love this store, please don't close it.
