Wrong crowd
La Perla marketed itself to the wrong crowd. The crowd that doesn't give a flying sh-t about brands whether they be designer or not. Probably why it closed.
La Perla Beats Everyone on Quality
No closings for La Perla - they add more stores. As a brand they are amazing, they have quality that nobody else has. I am not aware of any plans to massively close stores, they may close a store or two just to relocate them.
