Hollister already closed a store there and J Crew has been reported to be closing as well - though J Crew has yet to confirm this but I think they will close too.

Let's be honest for a moment. The store was a mess 24/7 but it had a lot of charm. Everyone loved it. And everyone was sad to learn it closed. Big loss for all of us in our little neck of the woods.

Crew closed on Jan 24 in Columbia when the chain left the Trenholm Plaza store in Forest Acres. Their bankruptcy is to blame. I think many more stores have closed or are about to close because of it.

My sister and I are fighting on whether J.Crew will survive this ordeal. J. Crew filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and I can't say that I'm confident that the company will survive it. My sister says I'm a Negative Nancy tho' and she's right.

Crew just laid off about a dozen employees in their New York headquarters. The employees will be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming months. I know how hard this must be for them right now, nobody likes to be jobless in this economy.
