Sad, kinda. The Gold Star Chili in Russell, Kentucky closed down a couple of years ago. No idea what happened. Nice restaurant.

I was told that the Gold Star Chilli was closed down only temporarily because they were renovating the interior. Now I know that was a big fat lie. I wish the closing was only temporary but as you can see for yourself the place is long gone now.

Gold Star Chilli has closed their W Eads Pkwy restaurant recently and Lawrenceburg is in turn the poorer for it. This chain is so underrated. Maybe they are more popular elsewhere? I feel like Indiana doesn't appreciate it enough.

Never think twice about it - they are simply amazing - Gold Star Chili was my # 1 restaurant for long time. They never closed a single restaurant.
