Is it just me or is Belk closing their stores but not announcing it? Like, are they closing their stores quietly I mean??? All I see and hear about Belk stores lately is people complaining about their half-empty inventory and that they have rather weird sales where 70% of the stuff is off.

Told me they weren’t at a Texas store but article online says they have not paid vendors. Texas store’s shelves are almost bare and they aren’t getting new merchandise. Sales lady said they weren’t able to get because of Covid. I guess not if you don’t pay your vendors. I expect them to close this store at the end of the year.
They're definitely closing some stores. I doubt they will close all of them, however.
I'm 80% sure that they're lowkey closing stores. They don't want the attention such bad news brings I bet.
