Pier 1 is responsible for their own demise. They were so much more expensive than any other home good store out there. They never adjusted their pricing to appropriate levels, smart shoppers went elsewhere for the same merchandise at much lower prices, plus they failed to offer anything new. So sad, because they had potential at one time
