Thread regarding Food Lion in Santee

I can not believe how discourteous some of the new cashiers are. There were three young girls that were new on 3 registers that I have not seen before pand theyi were so rude. The same complaint I keep sharing and it doesnt chain. The girls ring up the groceries, bag them, put them over on the end of their counter and that's the extent of it. Yesterday this cashier that I had rang my groceries up put them over on the end of the counter and collected my payment and TURNED HER BACK ON ME AND BEGAN TO CONTINUE HER CONVERSATION WITH THE OTHER CASHIER NEXT TO HER. THE STORE WASN'T REALLY THAT BUSY BUT EVIDENTLY HER CONVERSATION WITH THE OTHER CASHIER WAS. I love the employees that have been there so long ! They are so friendly, courteous, and respectful. They always pass me in the aisle with a friendly smile. Something isn't going right in training or it's the people being hired I certainly don't know. I do know I am not happy or comfortable shopping in Santee Food Lion anymore ! I had Knee Surgery last month and was alone so I ask a young black man if I could get some help taking my $400. worth of groceries out to my car. He was walking around at the front of the cash registers, I thought he nodded his head but wasn't sure, so I asked the young black man who was ringing up my groceries what he said, he said he will take them out . I said he doesn't seem very happy about it. I shouldn't have had to asked if someone was going to do it ! I have always taken my own groceries out. This was an exception. I would love to see Food Lion in Santee close and see another store come in that appreciates our patronage. Again I am not complaining about the employees that have been there so long . They are wonderful! It is the new ones that will be the closing of this store
