They are really not that great as they want you to think - I think in few years they will close all locations like JCPenney is closing. They need to update and upgrade, to survive. I cannot blame too much as it's hard to survive in business as long as Elder-Beerman did - so kudos Elder-Beerman management. Also, I am talking about this from Richmond, Indiana angle, it may be different at other locations.
Anyhow, things will become more clear in 2017 when there will be even more pressure from internet retailers and smaller companies moving up the food chain.
