I've just seen the news that the Sears will be closing this week for good and it felt to me like it came out of the blue. I didn't expect it. However, the store is closing because the owners are retiring which I think is completely fair. I wasn't mad about the closing and I wish the owners a happy retirement - I was just a bit surprised, is all.
