After this week, the Applebee's location in Hastings will be no more. It's only the latest in a string of closings, from what I can tell. I guess all we can do is do our work and wait and see which one is next.

Do you get that weird feeling that they are smaller and smaller - I mean they lose locations, so they shrink. Applebee's was so great in the 1990s we could not wait to go there. Now it's just meh. They close restaurants all the time

They have shuttered this location a couple of months ago, but I have only now found out about this. Really, who is surprised? Nobody took care of this Applebee's. A lot of people think running a restaurant is easy business - it's not!

It is not bad to like Applebee's, we all have one or two guilty pleasure fast foods that we can't stop loving. But Applebee's insistence on microwaving and reheating their dishes instead of preparing fresh food is unforgivable in my eyes.
