These were the best stores in town...

The store couldn't handle the competition anymore.

This wasn't the best outcome for the store and it wasn't the best outcome for the city either.

I wasn't its biggest fan but it always feels like losing a piece of our community when a store like this one shuts down.

It's demoralising to see yet another good business succumb to economic pressures.

I wish upon a star that another store can fill the space, but it won't be the same.

Nobody gasped out in shock to hear this store being cut. Oh, and pun intended. I'm very clever.

All Stockton stores have been struck from the record. They might as well never have existed.

The only one I feel bad for in this mess are the workers, nobody else. We will survive without 99 Cents but what about the workers? Will they survive without their jobs?

All signs lead us to think a closure happened and that's what actually did happen.

I lived my whole life without noticing this store existed or that it even closed. I lived under a rock, I suppose.

I can't even remember that it existed in the first place. It was a forgettable store.

Call me old fashioned, but I never enjoyed stores like this one. I will never mourn it.

It was difficult to make peace with the fact but this store was meant to close since basically forever.

Clearly this store could have never survived but it was still a shame that it closed.
